William Hathaway settled in Prairie Ronde, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan on 13 November 1836. William left New York with his wife, Mary (Hyde), and four children, William, Charles, Anson and Maryetta.
There is no known picture of William Hathaway, but this is a picture of his brother, Jason, who remained in New York. This picture was taken in 1862.

This photograph was labeled Hathaway homestead. I think this picture was taken October 1864. Ida would be the baby being held by her mother, Experience. George was 4 years old. The two girls may be Ella & Frances who were 6 & 8. Or they could be Adell & Ella. Adell would have been 10. Anson is in the doorway.

Adelaide & Adeline were daughters of Luther Hathaway who was the son of Ebenezer Hathaway, the brother of William Hathaway. It is possible that some of the pictures labeled "Hathaway Home" may have been pictures of their home. They lived in Schoolcraft, Michigan.
William's sister, Mehitable also moved to Michigan, but she was married to Rev. Amos Cobb so it is unlikely that her home would be referred to as the Hathaway home.
Rev. Peter Bulkeley. He was born 31 January 1583 in Odell, Bedfordshire, England. He died 9 March 1659 in Concord, Massachusetts. He is an ancestor of William Hathaway.
